Bloodshot #8
Valiant's Bloodshot #8 hits hard with a cover that says everything without a word — the white-suited nanite soldier slumped against a wall, shredded clothing soaked in blood, ammunition belts crossed over his chest, and a dropped pistol on the floor at his feet. Cover pencils by Don Perlin and inks by Tom Ryder capture a hero pushed right to the edge, battered but not broken. With "Bad Blood" as the story title and a creative team including Kevin VanHook, James Perham, and artist Ted Halsted on interiors, this 1993 Valiant chapter looks like an intense showcase for one of the era's most compelling action characters.
