Bloodpool #4

This final issue of Bloodpool's 1995 Image Comics miniseries closes out with a cover by Pat Lee and Marlo Alquiza that packs the whole team onto what appears to be a massive, chain-suspended stone platform — a green-clad woman commands the high ground while teammates in red, blue, and a crackling energy-wielding blonde scramble around a snarling figure crouched at the center, with a rocky, armored form slumped to the side. The "Mummy's Boy" story title paired with that elaborate, almost sarcophagus-like framing gives the whole composition an unmistakable sense of ancient menace colliding with supercharged 1990s attitude.
