Blood of the Demon #8 plunges headlong into a world of madness and monsters, right there in the cover's tagline — and John Byrne's cover art delivers exactly that, depicting the Demon (Etrigan) charging forward in full demonic fury alongside a young woman, both dwarfed by the gaping, jagged maw of an enormous creature looming over a chaotic cityscape littered with overturned vehicles and swarming with more beasts. It's a genuinely striking piece of work from Byrne, who both penciled and inked the cover, capturing the sheer scale of supernatural chaos threatening to swallow everything whole. With Byrne and Will Pfeifer co-writing this December 2005 installment — subtitled "Mind Games" — fans of DC's supernatural corner have plenty to look forward to.
