Charlton's All New Blondie #204 from 1973 delivers exactly the kind of warm domestic comedy the series is beloved for. Paul Fung Jr.'s cover says it all: Blondie stands at her easel, paintbrush in hand, having produced a portrait of Dagwood — except where his head should be sits an enormous, towering sandwich, labeled "by Blondie Bumstead," while a glowing, bow-tied Dagwood looks on with pure delight.
