Hiroaki Samura's Blade of the Immortal continues with this second part of the "Genius" arc, and the cover alone signals the intensity within. A red-robed warrior is caught mid-motion, surrounded by swirling blue flames and a field of upright blades jutting from the darkness — a striking image that balances elegance with menace. Dark Horse's manga line was delivering something genuinely special in 1996, and this issue is a fine example of Samura's ability to make a single frozen moment feel charged with momentum.
