The final issue of Richard K. Morgan's run closes with a cover by Greg Land and Matt Ryan that puts the tension front and center: Black Widow and a formidable bald man lock eyes at dangerously close range, each pressing a pistol toward the other while a black widow spider lurks in a sniper-scope reticle overhead. It's a striking portrait of mutual threat — cool, intimate, and genuinely unnerving. Goran Parlov and Bill Sienkiewicz bring the interior to life, making this a satisfying capstone to one of Marvel's grittier spy series of 2005.
