Black Terror #4
Spinning out of Project Superpowers, this fourth issue of Dynamite's 2009 series raises an intriguing question right on the cover — "Reunion?" — as two figures in matching black-and-gold skull-emblazoned costumes dive together through a dramatic torn-paper composition, one brandishing a blade and both wearing the unmistakable Black Terror insignia. Alex Ross provides the cover pencils and inks, lending the image a painted intensity that makes the duo's dynamic plunge feel genuinely charged. With Alex Ross and Jim Krueger steering the story and "The Black Terror Goes to Washington Part Four" closing out this arc, it's a sharp chapter in a series that brings Golden Age heroics roaring into the modern era.
