Black Hood #8
The cover of this August 1992 Impact Comics release says it all with its bold tagline — "Too Many Hoods!" — as three hooded figures crowd the scene: the towering black-costumed Black Hood looming large in the background, flanked by a green-masked figure armed with a gun and a stocky red-hooded character, all seemingly cornered by a ring of armed opponents closing in from the edges. Rick Burchett's linework gives the composition a sharp, dynamic energy that makes the crowded standoff feel genuinely tense. Tying into the interior story "A Flock of Hoods!" from writer Mark Wheatley and artists Burchett and Neil Vokes, this issue promises an intriguing question: when there are this many Hoods in one place, who's the real one?
