This issue contains two stories featuring Black Fury, a wild stallion. "The Innocent" opens with a wagon train passing through hills, with Black Fury watching from his hideout and waiting for the right moment to strike. "The Ranger Trap" follows, depicting a confrontation between Ranger Lee Elrod and an outlaw in a town, after which Black Fury is captured and placed in a stable. The story concludes with mounted riders pursuing Black Fury across mountains and valleys as the stallion attempts to elude them, with characters named Amos and Seth tracking the wild herd they've been chasing for years.
