This issue contains two feature-length western stories. "Rustler's Reward" follows Kansas Joe, a skilled cowpuncher who is sought out by rancher Fernando Alvarez for a job rounding up cattle, though Joe is unaware that Alvarez suspects him of being involved with missing livestock and plans to use the roundup to locate stolen cattle. The main Black Diamond story depicts a duel between Black Diamond and Connors, with Paul discovering his father was not a coward as he believed; the narrative involves complications with Jane and a plot by Bo Foster to burn down the Carter Ranch, ultimately resolved when the Black Diamond defeats his adversaries in a confrontation.
