Black Diamond Western #59
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freePublished by Lev Gleason in December 1955, this issue of Black Diamond Western opens with a saloon standoff dripping with frontier tension — a masked, red-shirted hero leans across a poker table, calling out "Doc Holliday! You lookin' for me...?" to a nervous man in a green suit, while a third figure lurks ominously in the background. Myron Fass brings the scene to life with sharp, energetic linework that makes the cramped barroom feel ready to erupt. With the story "Hired Gun" inside, this is a fine example of mid-1950s Western comics doing what they did best: putting a cool-headed hero in a room full of trouble.
