Black Diamond must investigate the murder of a marshal whose brothers seek revenge, only to discover that local superstitions about a ghost haunting Boot Hill are being used to spread false stories through town. When a man claiming to be the ghost's victim appears, Black Diamond realizes someone is impersonating the deceased to scare the townspeople. In a separate story, "The Wrong Killer," a marshal hunts down a man responsible for his brothers' deaths in 1873, but the suspect escapes and Black Diamond must pursue him, eventually encountering a puma in the wilderness that complicates the chase.
