Blab! #7

Vol. 7 collects the seventh installment of the acclaimed anthology series from Kitchen Sink Press, featuring a mix of underground comix and alternative cartooning. This volume includes contributions from notable artists such as Spain Rodriguez and Mary Fleener, alongside characters like Jimmy Corrigan and Quimby the Mouse, showcasing the eclectic and boundary-pushing style the series is known for.
In "Psychorama," Chris Ware crafts a dreamlike journey as Jimmy, still reeling from a birthday celebration, finds himself adrift after a sudden shipwreck. Stranded on a remote island with only fleeting visits from Superman, he navigates isolation and memory in a story drawn with Ware’s signature precision and emotional depth. The cover by Daniel Clowes captures the surreal tone, complementing a narrative that blurs reality and imagination.
