Poison Ivy commands the cover of this New 52 entry, her black-and-green leafy form standing front and center as massive vines coil through a lush, eerie forest — ensnaring what appear to be Black Canary (unconscious at Ivy's feet), Katana, Starling, and another teammate struggling in the green tendrils around her. The tagline "Poison Ivy's Wrath!" makes the threat unmistakably clear, and Stanley Lau's cover art renders the scene with a striking combination of menace and lush botanical beauty. Writer Duane Swierczynski and artists Travel Foreman and Timothy Green II bring "Tangled Up Inside" to life in what looks to be a genuinely dangerous chapter for the Birds of Prey.
