Bill Battle fights communist forces attempting to escape with a general and weapons. Bill's burp gun claims communist lives, but the enemy forces manage to capture the hill he's defending, forcing him to shift positions. As the communists attempt to flee with their general and a truck full of weapons, Bill pursues them relentlessly, ultimately destroying the escaping vehicle with mortar fire and leaving the communist forces defeated. The issue also includes a backup story titled "Torture" about a commie who will do anything to get information.

When Private First Class Joe Duke's constant griping about brass finally gets the attention of General Orr himself, Duke finds himself leading the general on a reconnaissance patrol deep into enemy territory—a mission that goes sideways fast when they get cut off by Communist forces. Now a prisoner of war facing interrogation, Duke discovers that his own careless words from the night before may have already given away the general's identity to their captors, and there's no telling what torment lies ahead.

When Major Reginald Myers leads 250 non-combatant Marines—clerks, cooks, and support personnel—up the frozen slopes near the Chosin Reservoir to retake vital heights held by nearly 5,000 enemy troops, he becomes the decisive force his outnumbered, hastily assembled unit desperately needs. Fighting through fourteen brutal hours of intense combat without trained officers or NCOs at his side, Myers personally ranges across the entire attack front to drive his improvised force forward against overwhelming odds. His leadership and courage in this desperate mountain assault would eventually earn him the nation's highest military honor.
