Big Shot #83 is an anthology containing multiple stories. One story follows a young boy named Philip who is homesick at scout camp; his father sends a telegram allowing him to stay longer, but the boy ultimately decides to return home, where he is joyfully reunited with his family and their beloved dog. Another story depicts a film production shoot in which a director orchestrates an elaborate romantic scene between actors, though the two performers actually despise each other despite their on-screen chemistry.
