Big Shot #65 is an anthology featuring multiple stories. "Joe Palooka" follows the titular character, recently out of the army, maintaining his military habits while settling back into domestic life with his wife. Another story involves a character kicked out of a saloon who finds himself being followed; he receives a letter in an elephants' crate and is later chased by townspeople. A third story features a conflict between neighboring dogs and cats, with a dog trying to protect a kitten from a troublesome mutt named Kitty, ultimately resulting in the animals becoming friends.
