“Vendetta interplanétaire”

"Vendetta interplanétaire" delivers a standout moment in Big Boss #47 (1980), a 4 FRF comic where science student Rhett Shaw returns home to face an old family feud—only to be drawn into a cosmic clash between alien warriors who wage war through planetary forces. Written by Otto Binder and brought to life with dynamic art by Carmine Infantino and inks by Joe Giella, the story blends rural tension with interstellar spectacle, as Shaw uncovers a hidden vulnerability in the invaders' weapons during a battle that shakes the very ground beneath his village. Rhett Shaw returns to his rural village after studying science at college. Whit Carter challenges Shaw in a fight to continue the family feud. Shaw declines and suggests they forget the feud. Shaw drives home but is stopped by a force bubble. The aliens discuss their duel where they use the natural forces of a planet to fight. The villagers shelter in a cave to escape the battle. Shaw hears the aliens telepathically and learns that they have each won 127 victories on other planets. Shaw discovers the alien weapons are vulnerable to nitric acid and they leave Earth after shaking hands.
