Betty finds an old love letter in a copy of "Wuthering Heights", and becomes obsessed with finding the original owner. After some research, she learns that the Lydia Wyndham who owned the book still lives nearby. The elderly Lydia is a published author, and quickly connects with Betty over their shared love of stories. Lydia says that the man she wrote the letter to was only a romantic fantasy figure, but Betty keeps researching and uncovers the tragic truth.
