Betty and Veronica Comics Digest Magazine #40
In "A Man of Few Words," Archie faces a dilemma when he turns down Veronica’s invitation to the Governor’s Ball, fearing the cost. But when Betty unexpectedly wins tickets and Mr. Cooper and Mr. Andrews offer to cover the expense if Archie escorts her, he’s forced to improvise—leading to a hilariously disguised trip to the dance as a bearded Brazilian. Written by Frank Doyle and illustrated by Dan DeCarlo Jr., with inks by Jim DeCarlo and colors by Barry Grossman and Nanci Dakesian, the story captures the classic charm of the Archie universe, all capped off with a cover by Dan DeCarlo and Jim DeCarlo.
