Betty and Veronica Comics Digest Magazine #26
In "Schedule Programs," Archie, Betty, and Veronica show off their skateboarding skills on the Lodge pool's diving board, much to the dismay of Mr. Lodge’s guest, who’s allergic to pool chemicals and horrified by the “attractive nuisance” of the pool. When the guest trips on a skateboard and hurtles toward the water, Betty’s quick thinking—kicking over a patio table to stop him—leaves everyone stunned, even if Mr. Lodge’s dry praise suggests she couldn’t have done better, even with a month to think. The story, illustrated by Dan DeCarlo with inks by Joe Edwards, colors by Barry Grossman, and letters by Bill Yoshida, features a cover by Dan DeCarlo.

Mr. Lodge's guest complains that pools are attractive nuisances, going on and on, while Archie, Betty, and Veronica perform skateboard tricks on the diving board. The guest continues complaining, noting he's allergic to the pool chemicals and as he is leaving, the guest steps on the skateboard and goes flying towards the pool. Betty, thinking quickly, kicks a patio table right in front of the guest. He slams into it, knocking himself out. Betty is sorry but it was the only thing she could think of, but Mr. Lodge says that if she'd thought for a month, she couldn't have improved on that.
