Autumn has arrived at Riverdale High School, and the cover by penciler Jeff Shultz and inker Henry Scarpelli captures the season beautifully — Betty reaches up toward a burst of falling orange and red leaves while Veronica looks on with a knowing smile, their exchange about fall's "wild and brilliant colors" setting a cheerful, playful tone. A trio of vividly styled students in the foreground adds to the sense that Riverdale's hallways are every bit as colorful as the foliage outside.
