Betty and Veronica #165
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeA sunny beach day turns into a comedy of manners on this cheerful 2001 cover, where Archie — crowned with a paper burger crown and grinning beside a picnic basket — cheerfully announces he's "eliminated half the calories" from the girls' food, much to the visible dismay of Veronica in her black bikini and Betty in her floral two-piece. Jeff Shultz's pencils and Henry Scarpelli's inks give the Riverdale gang their warm, expressive best against a bright seaside backdrop. It's a perfectly breezy setup for a summer issue full of the lighthearted chaos Betty and Veronica does so well.
