A rainy-day roadside mishap sets the scene for this June 1990 installment, as a drenched Betty digs into the engine of Archie's red jalopy while he sits behind the wheel holding a wrench and pleading — via speech bubble — that his arm is getting tired. Dan DeCarlo's cover pencils capture the scene with the warm, breezy humor that defines the Archie universe, with a toolbox scattered on the wet pavement and the rest of the gang peeking in from a corner portrait. The issue also salutes Regina Curro as "Artist of the Month," making this a charming snapshot of Archie Comics in 1990.
