Betty and Me #167
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeA classroom full of Riverdale drama unfolds on Dan DeCarlo's cover for Betty and Me #167, as Archie holds up a blank note and calls Betty out on it — while Betty, arms folded and nose turned up, flatly declares she's not speaking to him. The surrounding students watch the awkward standoff with expressions ranging from bemused to thoroughly entertained, and a chalkboard in the background cheekily plugs The New Archies cartoon on NBC-TV. It's a perfectly captured slice of teen social comedy that makes this 1988 Archie Series issue an easy, fun pick.
