“How Sweet It Was”

In "How Sweet It Was," Betty’s best friend Sabrina pulls a mischievous prank that sends Archie into a whirlwind of uncharacteristic affection—only to find herself tangled in the fallout when Veronica shows up and isn’t amused. Written by Frank Doyle and brought to life with Dan DeCarlo’s classic art and Rudy Lapick’s inks, this 2011 issue captures the sweet chaos of teenage crushes and unintended consequences. The cover by Dan DeCarlo perfectly captures the moment’s playful tension.
