Betty #138
This cheerful 2004 issue of Betty puts the fun front and center with a gloriously messy whipped cream battle — two guys are absolutely drenched in the stuff, cans in hand, while Betty and a friend look on with gleeful amusement, quipping that "dueling over me is SO romantic… even if it's only with whipped cream!" Cover pencils by Stan Goldberg and inks by Bob Smith give the scene that warm, energetic Riverdale charm that makes the series such a delight. With interior art also by Stan Goldberg and a story by Mike Pellowski, issue #138 promises a lighthearted good time from cover to last page.
