Im entscheidenden Moment im Kampf gegen General Boscogne ist Guts Schwert zerbrochen, nun steht er auf verlorenen Posten und sein Gegner stürmt auf ihn zu. Währenddessen wurde General Kjaskar in der Festung von einem vergifteten Pfeil verwundet und ist schon deutlich geschwächt. Doch startet sie noch einen einen letzten Angriff auf General Adon. Guts erhält indessen unerwartet Hilfe, von einem Berg am Horizont wirft Zodd sein Schwert mitten ins Kampfgeschehen, bereit von Guts genutzt zu werden General Boscogne zu bezwingen.
