Bevor er ihn zu seinem Anführer schickt, Griffith der im Burghof badet erzählt Guts erstmals von seinem Traum sich sein eigenes Reich zu nehmen, nur nicht wie jemand wie er aus dem einfachen Volk dies erreichen will und dabei zeigt er ihm seinen Glücksbringer ein Eiförmiges Kleinod den roten Behelith, das Ei des Herrschers.
