Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees #5

Two anthropomorphic animals — a duck in a bright, mismatched tracksuit and a bespectacled cat carrying a briefcase — stand together at a city street corner, their uneasy closeness set against a lamppost bearing a "MISSING: Daniel Brewer" flyer. Patrick Horvath's watercolor-tinged linework gives the urban scene a deceptively cozy feel, even as that missing-persons notice hints at something far more unsettling simmering beneath the surface. Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees #5 keeps the series' signature blend of small-town (and now big-city) dread alive and well.
