Ben Reilly: Spider-Man #4

Part four of "The Humanity Agenda" arrives with a cover by Steve Skroce that puts Ben Reilly's Spider-Man in genuine peril — his costume torn and battered, he crouches at the center of a web-strewn ground while a ring of ghoulish, wide-eyed figures closes in from every direction, their clawing hands reaching hungrily toward him. The looming, eerie white eyes dominating the top of the image cast an unsettling shadow over the whole scene, making it clear that Ben is surrounded and badly outnumbered. With J. M. DeMatteis writing and David Baldeón and Israel Silva bringing the interior to life, this penultimate chapter looks to push the Scarlet Spider to his absolute limits.
