Frazer Irving's cover for Bedlam #9 is a genuinely unsettling piece of work — a wild-eyed figure tumbles upside-down toward a rain-slicked street below, a bloodstained reflection pooling beneath him while colorful, chaotic figures scatter in the pink-hued sky above. The muted, almost monochromatic palette punctuated by those bursts of rose gives the whole image a dreamlike, disorienting quality that suits this series perfectly. Nick Spencer and Ryan Browne's "Sticky Tricky" promises another chapter of the psychological tension that has made Bedlam one of Image's more compelling reads of 2013.
