Battleworld #5

A massive, cosmos-filled face looms at the center of this striking Leinil Francis Yu cover, while a ensemble of Marvel heroes and warriors — including Spider-Man, a masked blonde woman, Storm, a bearded Thor-like figure, and several fierce-looking combatants — appear in fragmented panels radiating outward like shattered glass. The composition gives the finale of Christos Gage and Marcus To's Battleworld a real sense of convergence, as though every corner of this strange patchwork world is colliding at once. With Rachelle Rosenberg's cool cosmic blues tying everything together, issue #5 looks like a satisfying payoff to the series.
