Battlestar Galactica: Ghosts #1

Against a smoldering crimson nebula, colonial Vipers streak through a debris-filled battlefield while a menacing Cylon Raider looms in sharp detail on the right — and the ghostly, shadowed faces of what appear to be three human characters drift hauntingly across the background, lending the composition exactly the eerie atmosphere its "Ghosts" subtitle promises. Dynamite Entertainment launched this 2008 miniseries as its own corner of the BSG universe, and that cover alone — tension coiled between human survivors and machine predators — makes a compelling case for picking it up. Fans of the reimagined series looking for more stories set among the stars will find this opening chapter hard to resist.
