“Ghost Ship [Part 1]”

"Ghost Ship [Part 1]" kicks off a chilling mystery in Battle of the Planets #6 (1980), a 40-cent comic where G-Force ventures into the Bermuda Triangle to uncover a string of disappearances. When the team's ship, the Phoenix, is caught in a strange cloud and crashes into a hidden metal whale that doubles as a missile base, they awaken to find themselves among other lost souls—now prisoners of the enigmatic Zoltar. With Win Mortimer handling both the interior art and cover, this issue blends eerie sci-fi suspense with a haunting atmosphere, setting the stage for a surreal confrontation aboard a ghostly schooner.

G-Force is sent to the Bermuda Triangle to investigate a series of ship and plane disappearances. After they enter a mysterious cloud they see an ancient two-masted schooner, lose all power to the Phoenix and mysteriously fall unconscious. They wake up inside a metal whale that is also a missile base with some of the other missing people. They are then taken aboard the schooner and, along with the other captives, are hypnotized by Zoltar.
