Batwoman dominates this striking 2021 anthology issue, rendered in a stark red-and-black palette by cover artist Colleen Doran — her blazing crimson hair billowing upward while a sea of skulls rises around her, grasping hands reaching in from every side. The "Fear State" banner sets a suitably unsettling tone for this eighth installment of Batman: Urban Legends, which promises four separate stories featuring Batwoman, the Outsiders, Azrael, and Professor Pyg. At $7.99, it's a generous package of Gotham darkness, and Alyssa Wong's "Disinformation Campaign Part 1 of 2" — brought to life by artist and inker Vasco Georgiev and colorist Rain Beredo — looks like a compelling place to start.
