Batman returns from the past with a gunshot wound in his chest. Bruce is saved by the Faberge Egg, then Batman and Nightwing track the Egg and Vandal Savage to Savage's submarine. The Faberge Egg is revealed to contain an ancient White Lantern ring which Batman uses against Vandal Savage, only to be confronted by members of the Green Lantern Corps.
