Batman: The Dark Knight #7 arrives at its promised showdown as the cover — penciled by David Finch and inked by Richard Friend — puts a snarling, cape-swept Batman lunging directly at a massive, tube-laden Bane, whose glowing red eyes signal he's running on full Venom fury. The tagline "In the Final Battle with Bane" says it all, and the raw, kinetic energy Finch brings to these two titans fills every inch of the composition. Part of DC's New 52 initiative in 2012, this is one of those covers that makes it genuinely hard to set the issue back down.
