Batman / Superman #4

Part four of "Who Are the Secret Six?" arrives with a cover by Emanuela Lupacchino that practically crackles off the page — the Batman Who Laughs dominates the center, spiked cowl gleaming and heavy chains crackling with red lightning in each fist, while two corrupted Robin-like figures flank him and a leering, large-faced Joker-esque figure surges forward in the foreground. It's a genuinely unsettling assembly of twisted doppelgängers, perfectly capturing the dark-mirror energy of DC's "Year of the Villain" banner under which this issue flies. With Joshua Williamson writing and David Marquez on interior art, this Batman/Superman series continues to make a strong case for being one of 2020's most compelling DC reads.
