Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #97

The finale of "Dirty Tricks" arrives in this August 1997 issue, with cover art by Anthony Williams and Andy Lanning that frames a genuinely unsettling standoff: a robed, masked figure with arms raised triumphantly looms above a crouched Batman, while a prone figure in red lies helpless at their feet, smoke and crackling energy filling the fiery background. It's a composition that puts Batman in a rare position of vulnerability, with the villain commanding the whole scene from above.
