Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #56

Part two of "Watchtower" arrives in January 1994 with a cover by Mike McMahon that crackles with angular, stylized energy — a masked, armored villain looms over a battered Batman, fist raised, while a frightened bystander cowers in the lower corner. McMahon's distinctive geometric linework gives the whole scene an almost expressionist tension, making the Dark Knight's peril feel genuinely visceral. Chuck Dixon and McMahon make a compelling team for this Legends of the Dark Knight arc.
