Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #190

The cover of this June 2005 issue, drawn by Cliff Chiang, sets a genuinely unsettling tone: a gaunt, skeletal Mr. Freeze lies as if in repose, his glowing orange eyes staring upward while a shadowy figure looms above him holding a lit torch — the warm flame casting an eerie contrast against the cool blues surrounding Freeze's still form. "Freeze's Final Rest: Part One of Two" promises a story that puts one of Gotham's most tragic villains in a position of rare vulnerability. With J. Torres writing and David López on interior art, this first chapter of "Cold Snap" looks to be a compelling, moody entry in the Legends of the Dark Knight run.
