Robin aide Batman à s'évader. Batman est toujours ébranlé par son expérience et a du mal à se battre. Robin lui demande de l'aide et Batman semble perdu. L'armée des sans-abri de Deacon Blackfire oblige la garde nationale à se retirer et le gouverneur recommande à Gotham City d'évacuer, mais environ la moitié des gens restent. Les barricades gardent l'armée à distance. Une fois qu'ils ont quitté les égouts, Batman demande à Robin de téléphoner à Alfred et de le faire venir les chercher. Batman annonce qu'ils quittent Gotham City et ne reviennent pas parce que Blackfire a gagné.
