Batman: Gotham Adventures #9

Batman and Batgirl find themselves outnumbered on a snowy mountain ledge in this February 1999 installment of DC's animated-style series, with a group of orange-clad adversaries — one brandishing an axe, another a gun — closing in from behind. Rick Burchett's clean, expressive linework captures both heroes mid-action, Batgirl leaping forward with cape fanned wide against a dramatic purple sky.
