Batman: Gotham Adventures #46

The animated-style cover by Bob Smith and Terry Beatty says it all with its tagline "Look Who's Talking Now!" — a bald, bespectacled villain in a grey suit fires a blaster while gripping a tiny, grimacing figure dressed like an old-school gangster, all set against a brick wall dramatically shadowed with the Batman symbol. It's a wonderfully off-kilter image that captures the playful energy this series does so well, perfectly teasing "Saving Face" without giving a thing away. Scott Peterson, Tim Levins, and Terry Beatty deliver another chapter of the Batman: The Animated Series universe that fans of the 2002 run won't want to miss.
