Batman: Gotham Adventures #3
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of Batman: Gotham Adventures #3 is a total delight — it's designed to look exactly like a toy package from the "Gotham Power Pack: Batman & Grey Ghost" action figure set, Series Two, complete with illustrated accessories like Batman's grapple gun and Grey Ghost's gas pistols shown floating between the two figures. Batman and the trench-coat-and-fedora-wearing Grey Ghost stand posed against a Gotham City skyline, rendered in the animated style that defined this title, with a small inset panel showing the duo in dynamic action. This charming 1998 package-art conceit — courtesy of writer/cover artist Ty Templeton, with inks also by Templeton — makes for one of the more playful covers DC published that year, and the 32-page story inside by Templeton, Rick Burchett, and Terry Beatty is right there waiting when you "open the box.
