In "Snow and Ice Part One: Ode to a Penguin," the death of the Penguin in the prison yard sends shockwaves through Gotham’s underworld, drawing Batman, Commissioner Gordon, and a host of crime bosses to his funeral. When his body is laid to rest, the mysterious figure Kadaver breaks out of jail to perform a desperate, unknown ritual to bring the fallen villain back.
