Batman and Robin #7

Part of DC's New 52 initiative, Batman and Robin #7 (May 2012) presents a battered, mask-torn Batman locked in a ferocious close-quarters struggle with a menacing armored opponent whose glowing red eyes burn with menace — knives and sharp implements swirling around them in a moment of raw intensity. Peter Tomasi's story "Driven" gets the Patrick Gleason and Mick Gray cover treatment it deserves, rendered with visceral energy that puts Bruce Wayne's face — and his determination — front and center. A gripping entry in this New 52 run that shows the Dark Knight pushed hard but far from finished.
