Batman and Robin #3

Part of DC's New 52 initiative, Batman and Robin #3 (January 2012) plunges the Dynamic Duo into a fierce confrontation against a heavily armored, tech-laden villain whose glowing gauntlets crackle with ominous energy. Patrick Gleason and Mick Gray's cover captures Batman lunging forward in a powerful strike while Robin stands ready in the fiery orange background, the pair facing down a genuinely menacing threat. Writer Peter J. Tomasi and the Gleason–Gray art team were delivering some of the most kinetic superhero storytelling of the New 52's early months, and this issue — titled "Knightmoves" — looks like a thrilling next chapter.
