Batman and Robin #26

This New 52 chapter of Batman and Robin — here retitled Batman and Two-Face — opens its "The Big Burn: Ignition" arc with a cover that makes an immediate impression: Batman and Two-Face are pressed cheek-to-cheek in extreme close-up, the Dark Knight's cool blue cowl contrasting sharply against Harvey Dent's grotesquely scarred and melted visage. Patrick Gleason's pencils and Mick Gray's inks render the duality front and center, with crackling red energy filling the background to signal that the tension between these two is anything but settled. Peter J. Tomasi's 2014 run on this title consistently found compelling angles on Gotham's most conflicted villain, and this issue looks like no exception.
